About Us

Our Story

Brunkow Family Lamb is rooted in Glenn's family farm. Glenn grew up on the Pottawatomie County farm dreaming of coming home and working with his parents. Jennifer grew up around agriculture as both her grandparents were active farmers. Her grandfather on her mother's side, Wayne Gatlin, raised sheep and cattle in Rawlins County, Kansas. Early in their marriage Jennifer mentioned to Glenn that she would like to raise sheep. Fast forward to 2008 and Isaac and Tatum started showing sheep in 4-H. Three 4-H lambs started the flock in 2010 and t has grown to over seventy since.

Glenn and Jennifer also have spring and fall calving cowherds and grow some corn and soybeans also. They enjoy being the fifth generation and farming land that includes a piece Glenn's family homesteaded. Isaac is a graduate student at North Dakota State University pursuing a masters in Animal Science. Tatum is a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a bachelors degree in Agricultural Economics, she is also currently pursuing a masters in Agricultural Economics. Both kids are active in the operation and plan to return in some capacity.

The Brunkows take great pride in being stewards of the land and shepherds to their sheep. The lamb they sell you is the same lamb they put on their own dining room table.
